The Gouverneur Times is the only dedicated original local news media source operating exclusively as an on-line newspaper serving St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties as well as parts of Franklin, Essex, Hamilton, Herkimer and Lewis counties… the North Country.

We currently are providing and will with increasing tempo continue to provide original news and on-line informational content using our own reporters and journalist.

Our primary objective is to compete directly with the Watertowndailytimes.com (as we further develop we will be employing video news as well).

By the end of this coming summer (‘09) we expect to employ at a minimum approximately 17 reporters, journalists, and editors.

We will, through our current growth and future development, become recognized as a strong and viable originator of local on-line news content.

We intend by the end of this coming summer to be clearly recognized as the #1 most visited website by the residents of the North Country.
