STAR LAKE, NY - Star Lake-based State Police say that Kathleen H. Deyo, 43, of Newton Falls sustained minor injuries after her minivan left the roadway Friday evening on State Route 3.

Ms. Deyo told police she must have falled asleep at the wheel before her vehicle crossed the center line and struck the guiderails on the south shoulder of the road.  Police say that the van continued almost a quarter of a mile before crashing into a concrete ditch and coming to rest there.

Both front air-bags deployed.  Ms. Deyo was tranported to Clifton-Fine Hospitalk by the Star Lake Fire Department's EMS.  Police charged her with Failure to Keep Right and Operating with a Suspended License.  She was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Fine Court on June 23rd, 2009 at 6:30 pm.
