SLC AAUW Elects New Officers

AAUW Elects New Officers: The St. Lawrence County Branch, AAUW recently installed new officers for 2009-2011 at their annual meeting in Potsdam. Pictured (l-r) are Membership VP Becky Gerber, Potsdam, Legal Advocacy Fund VP Michele Pinard, Brasher Falls, Betsy Forkas, Schenectady, who installed the new officers, co-Treasurers Celena Haase and Jen Ball, and Secretary Carolyn Schwarz, all of Potsdam. They join President Lisa Wilson, Norwood, Educational Foundation VP Lyn Burkett, Potsdam, and Program VP Sue Bellor, Massena as the elected leadership team for the branch. AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research. AAUW is a powerful advocate and visible leader in equity and education through research, philanthropy, and measurable change in critical areas impacting the lives of women and girls. In principle and practice AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership.
