POTSDAM, NY -- Officers responded to a complaint of a fight on Pierrepont Avenue at 2:08 a.m. on Saturday, 10/31/09. Police observed several subjects fighting. Several people left the scene, and police were able to identify Alexander A. Garrow, 19, of Akwesasne, NY, as being involved in the fight. He was charged with Assault 3rd Degree with Intent to Cause Physical Injury, Harassment 2nd Degree with Physical Contact, and two counts of attempted Assault 3rd with Intent to Cause Physical Injury.

Ashley A. Fuller, 22, of Potsdam, NY was arrested for Assault 3rd degree Friday night, 10/30/09 following a domestic incident on Market Street. The subject allegedly hit a male subject in the face, causing minor injury.

Kevin A. Barile, 19, of Melville, NY was observed on Bay Street with an open container of alcohol on 10/30/09. Officer found the subject to be underage, and he was issued appearance tickets for Open Container and Underage Possession of Alcohol with Intent to Consume.

Jeffrey A. Brewer, 34, of Hannawa Falls, NY was observed operating a motor vehicle on the sidewalk on Market Street on 10/31/09. Further investigation revealed that the subject has a suspended New York State driver's license. The subject was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets for Driving on Sidewalk and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree.

All of the above cases were returned to Potsdam Village Court on 11/18/09 at 9:30 a.m.

The Potsdam Police Department responded to several other incidents on Friday night into Saturday morning not resulting in arrests. Those incidents included several calls to assist intoxicated subjects that were passed out, domestic incidents, and assaults. The Potsdam Police Department responded to a total of 22 complaints.
