Last time around, the Frog
Blog spotlight was on Miranda Lambert. Today, I’d like to do her boyfriend,
Blake Shelton.
I notice little things. Maybe
this is nothing. But remember how, in my last blog, I told you how crafty
Miranda has figured out how to get whatever she wants from Blake? In
case you missed it, she gives him a “Ring Ultimatum.” For instance,
she’ll say: “I either want a pony… or an engagement ring,” or
“I either want a $5 million Target gift card… or a ring.” She
gets the other thing (not the ring) every time. Maybe Blake is a little
gun-shy after his failed marriage to Kaynette Williams. (They were married
from 2003-2006. Blake and Miranda started dating as soon as the divorce
was final.) Although the photogenic, dimpled Super-Couple of Shelton
and Lambert maintain separate residences and tour buses, I think sometimes
they forget they aren’t already hitched. For example, take this October
30th Tweet by Miranda:
“We have new nephew! Blake’s
sis gave birth to Baby Jace yesterday mornin. I get to meet him in 3
weeks!!”
Aw, congratulations, AUNTIE

When Blake is not, um, collaborating
with Miranda, he is hard at work on projects with other musical buddies.
One of them is a really big star… the 6’ 6” Trace Adkins. The
two have teamed up for a duet that will be included on Blake’s upcoming
CD. (The album is as-yet untitled, with release date to be announced
soon.)

Wiseman, “Hillbilly Bone” is a tune of which Blake says: “I knew
it was one of those songs that would kick the door down, and who better
to kick the door down with me than my buddy Trace. It’s one of those
songs you can’t get out of your head, and for Trace and I both, it
was one of those songs that made sense since we are pretty much both
‘hillbilly’ to the core.”
